A culturally rooted practice bringing together yoga, somatic movement and reggae dub and sound-system culture.
Yoga n Dub
Yoga n Dub brings together yoga, somatic practice and dub music through an approach to embodiment that speaks to our African and Caribbean communities. We recognise yoga as part of a much wider history of embodied and spiritual practice, with traditions of movement, rhythm and collective practice also deeply rooted across African cultures. For us, grounding doesn’t always mean becoming still. Sometimes we need to move, shake, breathe, feel rhythm and release. Yoga n Dub grows from that understanding, bringing the grounding of yoga into conversation with the bass, rhythm and collective energy of Jamaican dub and sound-system culture.
We bring Yoga n Dub into community centres, festivals, retreats, universities, workplaces, corporate wellbeing programmes and cultural events, from intimate sessions to large-scale experiences. Led by Groundation alongside live dub from Souls Liberation, sessions weave accessible yoga and somatic movement with live music, creating space to move, ground, release and connect together.
